WHO IS A PEDOPHILE? CROSS EXAMINATION

1. Pedophile is a mental disorder. “Pedophilia is termed pedophilic disorder in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and the manual defines it as a paraphilia in which adults or adolescents 16 years of age or older have intense and recurrent sexual urges towards and fantasies about prepubescent children that they have either acted on or which cause them distress or interpersonal difficulty.”

2. “Researchers recommend that these imprecise uses be avoided because although people who commit child sexual abuse sometimes exhibit the disorder,[5][8] child sexual abuse offenders are not pedophiles unless they have a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children, and not all pedophiles molest children”.

The ICD-10 defines pedophilia as "a sexual preference for children, boys or girls or both, usually of prepubertal or early pubertal age".[3] Like the DSM, this system's criteria requires that the person be at least 16 years of age or older before being diagnosed as a pedophile. The person must also have a persistent or predominant sexual preference for prepubescent children at least five years younger than them.

SO WHO IS A PEDOPHILE IS TO BE DETERMINED BY DIAGONOSIS. HE IS A PEDOPHILE WHO “must also have a persistent or predominant sexual preference for prepubescent children at least five years younger than them” ………………….

Now we can diagnose Prophet. Is he going to be diagnosed as a Pedophile? If he is to be considered as pedophile He must have “a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children, and not all pedophiles molest children”. (Criteria no 2). And he “must also have a persistent or predominant sexual preference for prepubescent children at least five years younger than them”.

Now lets see His sexual orientation.

1. Prophet’s first wife= Hakim ibn Hizam said, “The Messenger of Allah married Khadijah when she was 40 and the Messenger of Allah was 25. Khadijah was two years older than me. She was born 15 years before the Elephant and I was born 13 years before the Elephant.”

2. Bibi Sawdah= When Muhammad married Sawdah in May 620, he was 49. It is possible that Sawdah was also about that age[49] and that she lived to be over 100. But it is unlikely. Allowing that she was not yet menopausal and that she had a father living, she was probably closer to 40.

Bibi Ayesha= Though her age during the marriage is still debatable still for the sake of argument if we accept the statement as, “The Prophet married Aisha in Shawwal in the tenth year after the prophethood [13 May - 10 June 620], three years before the Hijra. He consummated the marriage in Shawwal, eight months after the Hijra [11 May - 9 April 623]. On the day he consummated the marriage with her, she was nine years old.” It says she was nine years old.

4. Bibi Hafsah was 17 or 19 years of age.

5. Bibi Zaynab was 28 years and 4 months.

After analyzing Prophet’s sexual behavior it is clearly proved that He was not a pedophile. Prophet must fulfill the criteria of number 2 and 3 of the above statement to become a pedophile.

THEREFORE IT IS CLEARLY UNDERSTOOD THAT PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Pbuh) WAS NOT A PEDOPHILE
