If the fundamental pillar of any faith is ruthlessly struck, everyone has the right to condemn such moves. In The Oslo Declaration on Freedom of Religion or Belief (August 15, 1998) this right is protected . My simple question did Theodore Roosevelt, even Thomas Jefferson, made some mistakes?

Roosevelt said, “My great joy and glory is that, in occupying an exalted position in the nation, I am enabled to preach the practical moralities of the Bible to my fellow-countrymen and to hold up Christ as the hope and Saviour of the world” (Americas God and Country, by William J. Federer, 1998).

Thomas Jefferson said, “Had the doctrines of Jesus been preached always as pure as they came from his lips, the whole civilised world would now have been Christian” (Letter to Benjamin Waterhouse, June 26, 1822).

I invite everyone to look at the flags of Norway, Switzerland, the UK, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden and even Israel. I think these countries are some of the most advanced countries in the world. But why do these countries have the cross imprinted on their national flags? Why Israel has Jewish symbol in the flag and India Buddhist Ashoka Chokra? . Why does the USA have imprinted In God we trust on its dollar? It does not go with secularism.
